King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen-Mother Safely Back in Cambodia from Medical Visit to China

Phnom Penh, March 29, 2024 - Cambodia's King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk have safely returned to the Kingdom this afternoon, following an approximate month-long medical visit in China.

Upon their arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, a warm welcome was extended by high-ranking Cambodian officials including Senate President Say Chhum, National Assembly President Khuon Sudary, Prime Minister Hun Manet, along with members of the royal family and the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wentian.

This recent health visit follows their previous medical checkup conducted in Beijing between August 28 and September 30, 2023.

The King and the Queen-Mother's health visits to China are a regular part of their annual routine. During their stay, they are known to receive not only top-notch medical attention but also the warm hospitality of the Chinese medical team and leadership.
